About Our Chapter

Welcome to BNI Chapter 49!

We are a forming chapter - not yet an active BNI Chapter - and there are openings in many business classifications.

The World's Largest Referral Organization

BNI is the largest business networking organization in the world. We offer members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and most importantly, business referrals.

As a member of this Manhattan BNI Chapter you will become part of a real community of entrepreneurs and enjoy its benefits. As a vital member of a BNI Chapter you will bond with many other professionals seeking the same kind of "Word of Mouth" referrals as you.

For 22 years BNI has used a simple but elegant philosophy that exemplifies membership, "Givers Gain" (what goes around comes around). This elemental approach to prospecting for clients through relationship-building has seen BNI grow to over 100,000 members in 38 Countries around the world. In Manhattan, we currently have over 850 members in 39 Chapters. There are also about a dozen "Core Groups" (chapters in formation) like this one.

Speaker Schedule

While we seek a meeting place to accomodate us in mid-town, we meet in the conference room in the Corcoran Office in SoHo. It is a beautiful conference room in a super trendy office - that you'd only find in SoHo! It's worth visiting just to see the space! And it's a fun part of town to walk around after the meeting too!

Just two blocks from the Prince Street stop on the 6 or R subways, it's minutes away from anywhere, so please come visit us.

Note: when our meetings move to mornings, we will meet in mid-town. Suggestions welcomed.

Visitor Day: During this meeting, we will focus the discussion on:

-what it means to be a part of a professional networking group,
-how we present value to our current clients by having these connections (and thereby strengthening our relationships with them),
-and how we earn great referrals from our exiting clients, and our partners in Chapter 49.

One-to-Ones

Sometimes called Dance Cards, "One-to-Ones" are meetings with other members outside of the regular Wednesday morning meetings. One-to-Ones are an opportunity to get to know other members and the services their businesses offer. One-to-Ones are particularly helpful for new members, and for this reason they are counted as leads during the first two months of membership. For all members they're a great way to help get to know others and their businesses and, in turn, boost leads.
